: Many patients visiting the health post of remote Archale VDC are forced to turn back because there are no health workers including the doctors.Sanjaya Sunari of Saatdobato in Archale – 2 said he had to go to a private clinic after he found the health post empty. “I was sick and went to the health post for treatment but did not find any health workers; only found office helpers, so I went to local clinic for treatment where I paid Rs 1,800 for medicines,” he said.Sanjaya thought he would find a specialist doctor at the health post but could not even find health workers. The people are forced to seek expensive treatment at local clinics, he added.Likewise, Shyam Masrangi – who had gone to the health post with his sick child – had to turn back after finding no one there. He also chose to treat his child at a local clinic.Hom Rai, a local villager, said the office helpers at the health post have been distributing medicines in the absence of the health workers.Min Bahadur Rana, who is in charge of the health post, said he had gone to the headquarters and that other employees were on leave.
