Doctor Strange is a fresh new direction for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Thor: The Dark World tackled some fantasy elements, this one is the first Marvel film to fully embrace pure fantasy. It’s also an unlikely movie for horror specialist Scott Derrickson. These images are proof that while effects heavy entertainment may be Marvel’s forte, real on-location shooting is just as important.
