All seven people, including a new-born, on board a Fishtail Air helicopter that crashed at Bhetini in Nuwakot district on Monday, have been confirmed dead, Nepal Army Brigadier General Tara Bahadur Karki said.



The wreckage of the crashed chopper was found at Chucche cliff of Bhetini, Madanpur-9.

The helicopter that took off from Gorkha this afternoon was airlifting the new-born for treatment in Kathmandu with her mother.

Captain Ranjan Limbu, Staff Nurse Nisha Tamang, one Laxmi Gurung, Kitman Gurung, of Siddhadhibas, Gorkha, his wife Aagyani, Priti Gurung, 19, and her five-day-old son, have been killed in the tragedy.

A rescue team of NA’s Shreenath Battalion have reached the crash site, Karki said.

Earlier, Caan spokesperson Devendra KC said bad weather has been preventing the search operation.

The crash site is 5,500ft above the sea level. The 9N-AKA chopper had made last contact with air traffic control tower at 1:00pm.

Update : All the body arrived at Teaching Hospital kathmandu.
