Cadres and the leaders affiliated to the Federal Alliance have picketed the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar today.Security personnel have been mobilized in huge numbers in front of the PM’s residence and surrounding areas.In view of the sensitive security scenario due to the protest, the District Administration Office, Kathmandu has declared areas surrounding the PM’s residence as prohibited zones. A meeting of the District Security Committee chaired by Chief District Officer Ram Krishna Subedi decided to declare some areas as prohibited zone until further notice, effective from today.The prohibited zones are area from the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar to the Italian Chowk in the south, and up to Pabitra workshop in the north, 100 meters from the Speaker’s residence to the road leading to Gairidhara towards the west-south, 100 meters from the Chief Justice’s residence in Baluwatar to west Lazimpat and 100 meters east of Nepal Rastra Bank Baluwatar chowk.
